October through November is pretty busy for me.  School starts September, but grading, meeting students, and then getting students in the field for Atlantic Film Festival, Halifax Pop Explosion and capping it with Nova Scotia Music Week consume a lot of time. I have a number of half written blogs to blog on my blog but until end of this week I will be submerged in marking, so we shall see what gets out and up on line!

The ECMA acceptance speech I wish I had given

Quite to my surprise, Halifax Pop Explosion won the East Coast Music Award for Event of the year… Completely unprepared I stumbled through an awful speech, my worst ever I suspect. Here is what I should have said: Thank you, this is completely and totally unexpected.

Website updated and settled.

Okay, this thing is finally working the way I want it too. I highly recommend upgrading to WordPress 2, the new edit interface is amazing, it previews right on the edit page, and is generally smoother in terms of the overall experience. The blog/website thing is all updated and I finally worked around to the point that the top page when you type in is not a more business like front page. I still want to work on that, read more
