Special Election Issue
Hello folks! The Election Office at HRM has posted the contact details for all the candidates, and with 17 days to go until electronic voting starts and just 28 days until Election Day I thought I should get this post out as promised.
I encourage you to check out each candidates website and social media feeds to learn more about who may be representing you in the very near future!

Voting Days
| Oct. 8-16, 2024 | Advance online and telephone voting During alternative voting days, residents can vote before election day electronically or by phone. |
| Oct. 12 and 15, 2024 | Advance in-person voting During advance polling days, residents can vote electronically before election day at one of the municipality’s voting locations. |
| Oct. 19, 2024 | Election day In-person (paper ballot) voting will be available for eligible residents across the municipality’s 16 electoral districts. |
Boundaries have changed
As the population of the peninsula has grow the boundaries have changed and District 7 is now smaller, with the area north of Jubilee going to District 9, and the area north of Cogswell going to District 8. See map above.
Check that you are on the List of electors
Eligible voters in the Halifax Regional Municipality are encouraged to verify if they are on the elector’s list for the 2024 Municipal Election.

The municipality’s voter helpline is available to assist residents from Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. by calling 902.490.VOTE (8683) or 1.844.301.VOTE (8683).
