Halifax city hall is seeking an urban design consultant for a planned 18-month, $200,000 study intended to help municipal officials shape the look of metro’s urban core in the future.

what will be most interesting to see is if they hire someone with experience designing to maximize energy efficiency, and with experience working with district heating so that their work doesn’t clash with the district heating project that’s going ahead as we speak.
Or will they just hire someone’s second cousin?

District heating? Where? That is very exciting. Euro-style heating is alright by me. I have often wondered if the Dal heating plant could generate revenue by heating nearby homes.
Zack, you have a very firm behind. Oh, sorry, re-read that…. I think you could do a great job, I wonder if you could partner with a local firm.
