We have heard a lot of feedback from our community that the timeline on this process is far too short. Too short to get a project together, too short to spread the word so people know to come out and vote. We hear you and have changed the date for the second meeting. Also, we needed a bigger venue to host the Project Fair, so we have changed venue too! Apologies if this inconveniences you and your organization.

You DID NOT need to attend the first meeting to propose a project.

PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE WORD
We want to reach all residents of District 7 – so we need your help!
Please tell your neighbours, friends, colleagues that they can come out and VOTE for projects to happen in their community on July 19. Let organizations knownthey can propose a project.
Share the website and facebook event, tweet about it! Pick up some posters from City Hall and put them up in your neighbourhood (not on utility poles!).
Your contribution will make this the best it can be.
WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED ALREADY
This process of engagement and participation should have much more time. To spend next year’s budget, we will start talking about it in Sept/Oct and vote for projects in March and April in 2014.
