Today Councillor Watts spoke in Council about the Bayne Street Land Use Plan, also referred to as the Bayne Street “Master Plan”. I first read this report two years ago and think it is a hugely exciting idea, on par with Cogswell or Shannon Park being redeveloped. The idea of removing a bunch of spaghetti highways, making traffic flow more smoothly as a result, and restoring residents to the hill above Africville Church really sings to me.
